Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Stradcom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14314890), whose registered office is at Mapline House, 14 Bull Lane, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 8JG, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”), which provides Scribelo. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organisation you set up or join (“you”). If you don't agree, please don't use Scribelo.
1. Scribelo is for business use
Scribelo is a tool for agencies, freelancers and other businesses to collect website feedback from their team and clients. You confirm you're using it for business purposes and are at least 18. Because it's a business service, consumer cancellation rights don't apply, but our money-back guarantee still does.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your organisation's account.
- The account owner controls billing and can add or remove team members. Owners and admins decide who gets review links.
- Only invite people who should have access, and revoke links that are no longer needed.
- Tell us straight away at hello@scribelo.io if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Plans, prices and VAT
Scribelo has a Free plan and two paid plans, Standard (£9.99 a month) and Pro (£19.99 a month). What each plan includes is shown on the pricing page. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies (our VAT number is GB424212245).
- The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card. We may change what it includes, with notice.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by card through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until cancelled. We never see or store your full card details.
- If you upgrade, or switch from Standard to Pro, mid-month, you pay the difference for the rest of the month. Switching down takes effect the same way, with any credit applied to your next bill.
- We may change our prices. We'll email the account owner at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
4. 14-day money-back guarantee
If Scribelo isn't right for you, email hello@scribelo.io within 14 days of your first payment for a paid plan and we'll refund that payment in full and move your account to the Free plan. The guarantee covers the first payment once per organisation. Apart from this, and where the law requires otherwise, payments aren't refundable, including for part-used months.
5. Cancelling and changing plan
The account owner can switch plan or cancel at any time from Settings → Plan. A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted when you move to Free; any projects beyond the Free plan's limit are paused (see below) until you're back on a paid plan or you archive projects to make room.
6. If a payment fails
If we can't take a payment, Stripe will retry your card over the following weeks and we'll email the account owner. Everything keeps working in the meantime. If payment still can't be taken, the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan. Projects beyond the Free limit are paused: they become read-only and their review links stop working. Nothing is deleted, and paused projects reopen as soon as you're back on a paid plan.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you, your team and your clients add to Scribelo, such as comments, attachments, screenshots and approvals (“your content”). You give us permission to host, copy and process your content only as needed to run Scribelo for you. You're responsible for having the right to upload it and to install the review script on the websites you review.
8. Your clients and the review script
- You're responsible for the people you invite to review, and for telling them how their information is used (you can point them to our privacy policy).
- Only install the review script on websites you own or are authorised to change. The script stays inactive for normal visitors and doesn't read form fields.
9. Approval records
When a client approves a website or a change, Scribelo keeps a dated record of the decision. These records can't be edited or deleted, so they stay a reliable account of what happened. An approval record is a factual record, not an electronic signature, and on its own it doesn't create or change any contract between you and your client.
10. Acceptable use
Don't use Scribelo to break the law or anyone's rights, to upload malicious files or unlawful content, to access data you aren't entitled to, to probe, overload or disrupt the service, to resell it without our agreement, or to send spam through review invitations.
11. Suspension and ending these terms
You can stop using Scribelo and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we'll refund any unused part of a payment.
After an account is closed, we delete its content within 90 days, except approval records and billing records we have to keep, as explained in our privacy policy. Ask us before closing if you'd like a copy of anything.
12. Data protection
We handle personal data as set out in our privacy policy. For the personal data in your projects, such as your clients' names, emails and feedback, you're the controller and we're your processor. In that role we:
- only process it on your instructions, which are these terms and how you use Scribelo;
- make sure anyone who handles it is bound by confidentiality, and keep it secure with appropriate technical and organisational measures;
- only use the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, under written terms that protect the data in the same way, and tell you before adding new ones so you can object;
- help you respond to requests from people exercising their data rights, and with security and data protection assessments where reasonable;
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data;
- delete or return the data when you close your account (subject to the records described above); and
- give you the information you reasonably need to show we meet these obligations.
13. Availability and changes to Scribelo
We work hard to keep Scribelo running and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may need planned maintenance. We improve Scribelo regularly and may change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
14. Our intellectual property
Scribelo, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use it while your account is open; they don't transfer ownership. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
15. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
- We aren't liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data that wasn't caused by our breach, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100.
- You're responsible for keeping your own copies of anything business-critical, and for claims caused by content you upload or by installing the script on a website you weren't authorised to change.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Scribelo after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel before they do.
17. General
These terms are the whole agreement between us about Scribelo. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still do so later. You can't transfer your account to someone else without our agreement. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms, or anything else: hello@scribelo.io.
